HE HAS ALL HELP
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,Jude 1:24 NKJV
At a certain time, as Abraham journeyed, he stayed in a land called Gerar. The name of the king of the land was Abimelech. He saw the wife of Abraham, that she was very beautiful, and called for her to be brought to him, desiring to take her as a wife.
Prior to this time, Abraham had told them that Sarah was His sister, for fear that if they knew she was his wife, they'd kill him for her. So the king took Sarah, not in wickedness, but in the innocence of being charmed by her beauty. However, at night, the Lord appeared to Abimelech.
The Lord told him he was a dead man for taking Abraham's wife. Abimelech pleaded that he did it in innocence, and the response of God would interest you. “Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her. (Genesis 20:6 NKJV )
You see God withheld Abimelech from sinning, by not letting him touch Sarah. That same God is the one described in our theme verse. He's able to keep you from stumbling. He's the God of all grace, and he's merciful to help you stand. What is that struggle? He will help you overcome it. Talk to Him today.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for your mercy and grace available to me. I thank you for your Word by which my mind is renewed and cleansed. I thank you for the Holy Spirit by whom I am sanctified from the world. I live in your holiness and righteousness in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
