GROW THE MIND OF CHRIST
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
Philippians 2:5 NKJV
Did you know, that nobody who is born again has what the scripture describes as a carnal mind? This is because a carnal mind is a mind which is not submissive to the law of God, and cannot be submissive to His law. (Romans 8:7).
This means that no matter the training or discipline you subject such a mind to, it is impossible to achieve the results of God's righteousness. But the new creation in Christ Jesus have a different kind of mind. We have a mind that can be subject to the law of God.
A person's mind might still be functioning in an unsubmissive manner to God, but if that person is born again, then all that person needs is to start renewing his/her mind with the Word of God. In a matter of time, results will be clearly evident. Don't ever make the mistake of thinking, "this is just who I am, I can't change".
No! You can definitely change, and you will change, if you will begin to renew your mind. We all have that responsibility, to grow the mind of Christ. Let Christ define the way we think and reason and behave. You can renew your mind. Go for it!
Affirmation: I do not have a carnal mind. I have a mind that can learn to be submissive to God, in increasing glory. I refuse to continue with any negative behaviour, or mindset. Christ is my life. In Jesus name. Amen.
