BE A PERSON OF PEACE
and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Ephesians 6:15 NKJV
Our theme verse simply means that as a part of our heavenly armour in Christ, we should be "ready preachers of peace", everywhere that we go. Now we understand from the character of the scripture, that we are never to be preachers of a life we ourselves don't live. (1 Corinthians 9:27).
This simply means that if we are to be preachers of peace, then we ourselves must first be men of peace, by living in peace. So how does one live in peace? Firstly, be at peace in your own life. Embrace the peace of God in your heart. That's a core of the kingdom experience (Romans 14:17).
Don't live in worry, fear, anger, or hate. Be at peace within yourself, because of Christ in you. Next, walk in peace with others. Don't ever be the one to instigate anger, quarrels or troubles among other brethren. In fact, if anyone instigates such, choose the way of peace by all means. Don't choose to get into fights or quarrels with people.
Finally, be a preacher of peace. If there are quarrels or troubles among people around you, don't encourage them to continue in such. Encourage them in the way of peace. Pray for peace over your environment and the people in it, and bless people with peace every where you go. (Luke 10:5). Hallelujah!
Affirmation: I'm a man of peace. I live in peace, from my heart. I walk in peace with those in my life. I preach peace everywhere I go. In the name of Jesus, I rebuke spirits of quarrels and fights in my world, and I pray for souls, that they love peace and embrace it, in Jesus name. Amen.
