Over the past 25 to 30 years, more than 40 million people had stopped going to church in America—an act now dubbed the "Great Dechurching"
I'm sure that when the church was building in excitement without godly patterns, they didn't consider that their work will pass through fire.
America's error was like the error of Seth's generation and the church in Thyatira.
Genesis 6:2 tells us "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." likewise, John criticized the church in Thyatira for tolerating Jezebel who led believers astray.
He said, "Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols (Revelation 2:20).
These two categories of people began to interact with the properties of Satan, even though they were sons of God. However, we're excited with the labours of a few genuine labours from that continent which we're partakers of in Africa.
Back to us in Africa, look at the structures we're putting up now.
Do you think it will leave for our children anything of Christ?
If our children ever became well to do and Self-sufficient like our brothers in the Western Nation, will they still see the need to serve our God?
Does it not seem that our appetites and emotions run our churches rather than the Spirit of God?
Unfortunately, nothing built by the flesh can please God.
This is a Clarion call.
