YOUR FOCUS IN CHALLENGES
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
II Corinthians 4:17-18 NKJV
What's your mindset and thinking pattern when you go through difficult seasons? Have you seen the challenge as too big and unsolvable? The scripture called them, light afflictions. That means, don't esteem them highly.
For our light afflictions which are only for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. The challenges are only for a moment. Perhaps you're thinking, "but these ones in my life have lasted for so long". That is possible, but only because you haven't learnt what God intends that you learn.
Maybe you have spent more time complaining and grumbling about the situation. Doing that will bring no change. It'll only get worse. What must you do then? Set your focus away from the things around you, and focus on Christ and His word.
In His word there is freedom and deliverance. In His word there is revelation. In His word there is peace. Don't focus on the challenges and talk about them all day. That's the wrong response. Rather focus on Christ and His word, and you'll experience victory.
Prayer: Dear Lord I thank you, because my victory is found in you, and in your word. I refuse to focus on these challenges which have come to pass. But I focus on your word that abides forever. I am ever victorious, in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
