THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR PRAYER
who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us, you also helping together in prayer for us, that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the gift granted to us through many. II Corinthians 1:10-11 NKJV
Many Christians don't understand the importance of their prayers. Your prayers are very important to the move of God and the ministry of the Holy Spirit here on earth. But you'll see the potency of your prayers even more when you understand the importance of your prayers better.
Apostle Paul writing to the Christians in Corinth said that God delivered Him and his team from great death opportunities. He said he knows God will still deliver them from more to come, and that the prayers of the Christians in Corinth helped and is helping with this deliverance.
Think about that, their prayers contributed to His deliverance. Remember when James was arrested and executed, and then Peter was also arrested and awaiting execution? Then the church began to pray continuously, and Peter was delivered. (Acts 12:5). Their prayers contributed to His deliverance.
You see we need to understand that our prayers are actually necessary. Our prayers are necessary for God's will to prevail in our environment. Our prayers are necessary for God's people to be preserved. We don't pray for nothing. And things can go wrong if we don't pray. We are called to pray without ceasing, and our prayers make a difference. Glory to God!
Prayer: Father I thank you, because my prayers are potent, and make a difference. Thank you dear Lord. For your Spirit of prayer in me. And by your grace at work in me, I will pray without ceasing in Jesus name. Amen.
