A young woman was once interviewed and in the course of the interview, the interviewer asked "How do you get to this place?"
Looking at the enquiry face of her interviewer and then back to the earnest waiting viewers, she replied to the surprise of everyone "I stopped quitting"
"How?" chorused the audience.
...
I know you probably need more clarification on the three words just as demanded from the young lady by her viewers.
Well, I would be so much glad if we take the journey together immediately.
It is not uncommon to find the letter "Q" that has halted dreams, projects, ideas, and innovative plans, and walks among others in the lives of men.
Yes, quitting is always an option at the back of our minds.
We all at some point have quit executing and continuing some things.
Yes, it seems to be the best choice when confronted with
seeming challenges and even choices.
Occasionally, you are brisk to walk away from problems, weaknesses and challenges.
At other times, you run away from a difficult conversation, distance yourself from an assignment and even break a promise even though you hate to break your promises.
Yes, no blames because when that process and journey get so intense or overwhelming, the next thing that comes to mind is the "Q".
In our journey of faith which is not excluded, we are often presented with options to quit on God, He often becomes the recipient of our quits seeing that He is gracious and merciful (many abusing this aspect of Him).
In the bid to adjust to life excuses, many have thrown away their devotion and consecration, halting their walk with God and pausing His move.
I know it usually sounds great when you first started that journey, but what happens when the road that leads to the destination welcomes you with blocks and potholes?
At that point where everything seems not to be working out, what becomes your drive to continue?
You have probably affirmed "I can't take it anymore. I give up!"
Do you know what?
When we quit, we stop production.
We halt all progress on the project and transformation that is taking place inside.
As with any lifestyle change or attempt to make progress in our lives, we need to find a way to avoid quitting.
What dream have you abandoned for immediate relief from tough tasks?
Stop the stopping. Instead, stay through the
process of growth, change, and positive direction you have taken in life.
Don't quit trying (many have the fear of starting).
"He that observeth the wind shall not sow, and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.' Ecclesiastes 11:4
The wind (problems, challenges) are only there as agents of distractions and for you to sow, you must start what you have not started and continue what you have started.
Those men you are looking up to never quit.
Seeing that they have a destination at hand, they refused to terminate their efforts, sacrifices, and visions all in the name of temporary storms.
Storms don't last forever.
I know you have gotten countless reasons to quit but for the sake of the lives connected to your rising, don't say " I continue no more!"
If there is anything you should quit, it should be that you "Quit giving up!".
You should only quit trying with your strength and leaning on your understanding.
You should only quit trusting your abilities.
Take God along, he is the one who makes the journey worth taking.
You have come too far to quit!
Many are at that place you are looking up to because they didn't quit.
You can't be less.
There is strength made available for you in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:13).
#StopQuitting
#StayStrong
You are helped!
