RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus; but Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of God. Acts 15:39-40 NKJV
In Acts 13 :2 the Holy Spirit said to the believers as they fasted and prayed and ministered to the Lord, separate to me Barnabas and Saul (Paul) for the work to which I have called them. This was the beginning of the relationship between Paul and Barnabas. It was clearly ordained by God.
These two men did ministry together and did a lot of exploit for the kingdom and for God, until the account in Acts 15:39, when they went their separate ways due to a disagreement. Can a relationship ordained by God crash? You have your answer staring at you in our theme verse.
You see, that God ordained a relationship or gave a go ahead for a relationship doesn't mean that the relationship will be free from all challenges or troubles a regular relationship might have. Our ability to handle these challenges and troubles with love and maturity will determine the success of the relationship
You have a responsibility to manage your relationship properly. You can draw motivation from the godly ordination, but never depend on it as what will save the relationship if you don't manage it properly.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for your guidance to me in all aspects of life. Help me Lord to know how to manage the relationships you bring to me properly in Jesus name. Amen.
