*DO AND TEACH*

The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, *Acts 1:1*

*Luke made an account of the life of the Lord Jesus here on earth. The account of His life was in the things he began to do and teach.* So you see how Jesus lived. He did, and then he taught the things he did. 

*He didn't just do. And He didn't just teach. He both did and taught. Why is this important? Jesus leaves us a pattern.* We do, to show others an example. We teach, to help them understand how to follow the example.

*If we don't do as we ought to, the people who we should influence will not have an example to emulate.* And if we don't teach as we ought to, they wouldn't really understand how to reproduce the example we have shown them.

*The fullness of impact is in both doing and teaching. Choose to be an example by practice,* and then choose to help others understand how to follow the example you have shown them. That's how continuity is preserved.

*Affirmation: I know I am a witness of Christ to my world. I impact my world by my doings and my teachings, both done in the name of Jesus and by the Spirit. Thank you Lord in Jesus name. Amen.*
