Pastor Enoch Adejare is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,who served as an interpreter and later a pastor to the founder and first General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in the person of Reverend Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, known globally as Pa Akindayomi, who passed to glory in the year 1981.
Enoch Adejare Adeboye was born on March 2,1942 in Osun state,Nigeria.
He began his early education at Ilesa Grammar school,Osun state and proceeded to further his studies in Mathematics at University of ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University),but couldn't finish due to the Civil War.
Presently,he has bagged the following degrees:
A Bachelor's Degree (Bsc) in Mathematics from University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
A Master's Degree (M.Sc) in Hydrodynamics and a Doctorate Degree (PhD) both from the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria, in 1969 and 1975 respectively.
Pastor E.A Adeboye got married to his lovely wife Foluke Adenike Adeboye nee (Adeyokunnu),in the year 1967.
They are blessed with four children, but lost one of their sons,Dare Adeboye on the 4th May 2021.
Pastor E.A Adeboye has been and still remains a blessing to the body of Christ, till today.
His passion for souls led to the opening of model parishes scattered all around Nigeria and the global community.
He holds a monthly Holy Ghost Service, an annual March 3-Day special service, an annual December Holy Ghost Congress, an annual festival of life in UK and US etc.
He is also an author and publishes yearly a daily devotional "Open Heaven". He has been given many honorary recognitions, one of which is the Certificate of recognition, "The Congress of the United States of America" in 2015.
The summary of his vision and ministry is to "IMBIBE AND PREACH HOLINESS".
