DON'T BRING YOUR HANDS DOWN!
But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exodus 17:12
Through the battle of Israel with the Amalekites, to ensure victory, Moses, Hur and Aaron had to climb the mountain top pray with hands lifted up. Moses the priest over Israel has to keep his hands up until the battle was over and victory secured.
No matter how well Joshua fought, if Moses' hands were down, the battle went against him. Even when the hands of Moses became tired and he would've put them down, Hur and Aaron helped him keep them up.
This is a lesson for us today. Our prayers must rise continuously until the victory we want to see is achieved. The mountain is our secret place, our prayer alters. The incense we raise must not stop even if we are tired. Have friends and partners that push you, and motivate you.
People who help you push more and more in prayer. Don't allow the tiredness make you stop. Press on regardless. Don't climb the mountain alone. Surround yourself with friends that will help you stand. Iron sharpens iron. You will be helped. You're blessed. TCF
