THE PRACTICE OF KNOWING
... So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.” Daniel 6:23 NKJV
We read in Hebrews 11:33, that Daniel by faith shut the mouth of lions. But how exactly did he do that? He did not perish because he believed his God was entirely able to and was more than willing deliver him.
He knew God too well to doubt Him. The Lord wants us to be strong and courageous too. But we can only do so if we know Him very well. You have to know God well enough to let His words strengthen you.
Only the words of someone you trust can strengthen you. And you can only be courageous because of someone if you know and trust his power and might. All these are a product of knowing the person personally. Daniel had a daily walk with his God (vs 10,17,20). He knew his God.
If you will live the divine life, then you must have a daily walk with your God. You can't trust someone you don't know. So you want the faith that can shut a lion's mouth? Then develop a daily walk with your God, and know Him. You're blessed. TCF
