SET YOUR HEART TO UNDERSTAND
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. Daniel 10:12
The condition or state of your heart as you interact with God and His word is very important. Sometimes, people come before God simply because they are following a routine and they just want to fulfill it. No real desire for intimacy with the Lord.
Sometimes, people just come to let Him know their own problems and desires, without actually caring about that He thinks or what He has to say. It's highly important that we keep our minds open
And our hearts desirous to know what the Lord has to communicate us too. It's a relationship we have with Him. A communal fellowship. It's not just about us.
He's a person too, and beyond yourself and your desires, you need to see Him. Beyond fulfilling your routines, you've got to love Him and know Him, growing with Him personally. Choose to let the Lord be truly important to your heart practically. You're blessed. TCF
