NO ROOM FOR DOUBT
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6
Usually when the story of Peter walking on water is retold, (Mathew 14:25-31), we get the misconception that Peter became afraid because he began to sink. As true as that sounds, that's not true at all. The Bible records that as Peter walked on water, he saw the waves, he became afraid, and then began to sink.
You realise that Peter began to sink because he became afraid, and not the other way round. The waves he saw struck fear and doubt in him because fear and doubt go hand in glove. That's just an example to let us understand that
doubt has the ability to create exactly what it makes you expect. The catch is this, if you entertain fear, you'll most likely have the experience you were afraid of. If you entertain doubt, you'll most likely have the experience that your doubt made you expect. What does this mean?
If you must live and experience the victory of Christ, then you must leave no room for doubt and fear. Refuse to entertain second thoughts on the Word of God. Dare to believe even before you experience. Your faith produces your victory experiences. And just as much, your doubt and fear produces the failure experience. Be wise. You're blessed. TCF.
