God's voice does not excuse human responsibility. That God reveals his will to you doesn't excuse you from playing your part in bringing His will to pass.
Very many people are frustrating the will of God for their lives. They wonder why things aren't working out despite God has spoken, but they fail to realize that they are the ones lacking in their obligation.
God can tell you who to marry, but God won't force you to spice up the union with healthy communication.
God can tell you who to marry, but God won't compel you to secure the marriage by being respectful to your spouse.
It is God's duty to reveal who you should marry to you, but it is the duty of both of you to do the things that will make the marriage work.
Often times, when relationships or marriages doesn't work out despite God led both parties together, they are quick to blame God, forgetting that their laxity resulted to the outcome.
Adam did the same thing in the garden. He blamed God by saying "...The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat." (Genesis 3:12). He forgot that it was in his power to have rejected the fruit.
It is in your power to secure and manage that relationship/marriage. God has done His part by leading both of you together, now do your part by making it work.
Your part is to:
• Be prayerful with your spouse.
• Be respectful to your spouse.
• Communicate frequently & healthily.
• Be forgiving.
• Be caring.
• Be friendly.
• Be supportive.
And much more…
God won’t do any of these for you. It is strictly your responsibility.
