SOIL TYPES
But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. Luke 8:15
We know that in the natural world, we have different soil types. Popularly, we have the clay, sandy and loamy soil. Not all soil types are suitable for the planting, nurturing and germination of seed. So also it is in the spirit.
Our hearts are like soil, where seed are planted. Seeds are words, and the seed of God is the Word of God. The Word is ever true and unfailing. But just as a very potent and viable seed, planted in the wrong soil will not do well, so also it is with the Word. If the Word as alive and powerful as it is falls on the wrong soil, (I.e the wrong heart),
then the word would be of non effect in such a heart. If the word must bear results and fruit in any life, then it must be received properly in the right heart.A heart clogged with thorns, (I.e things that compete with the word for space), receives the Word, the word will be choked in such a heart.
If a heart that refuses to believe deeply receives the word, it’ll be shallow, and will only take time to be lost. But if any man purges himself, by getting rid of competitors of the word, and impurities in the heart, then he will be a vessel unto honor. Check your soil type. Check your heart, by purging by the word of God. Choose to be fruitful unto honor. You’re blessed. TCF.
