* The word you hear cannot work alone except you mix it with faith.
* Faith is beyond believing, faith is believing plus speaking.
* It doesn’t matter the defeat you are going through; It doesn’t matter how down you are, just keep talking.
Hebrews 4: 1- 2
The God that says, ‘Fear not’, He also says, this is the one thing I want you to be afraid of. Many do not enter into the fullness of God’s mind for them because they didn’t mix what was spoken to them with faith. If you don’t mix it with faith, it will not profit you. First of all, the way God has created His word is that it’s a precursor to things, when it lands, it becomes something else. When I tell you that please mix the dough properly before you put it in the oven, I’m telling you that the flour alone cannot become cake. The word you hear cannot work alone except you mix it with faith.
Isaiah 41: 15 (MSG), God says, ‘I am transforming you from insect to iron’. You see where religious Christians get it wrong, it is, faith is never quiet. If you don’t sound arrogant sometimes, you are out of faith. ChurchGist. This is because anything you don’t attack is attacking you, anything you can’t influence is influencing you, anything you can’t make to obey God is going to step you out of God, so you must be bold. David said about Goliath, ‘Who is this uncircumcised Philistine defying the armies of God?’. That was the first time they would hear that, every other person thought, we are the army of Israel, we are the army of Saul, but David switched the battle to the kingdom. Switch the battle to the kingdom, switch your career to the kingdom, switch your business to the kingdom. 1Samuel 17: 45-47. You are losing the battle because you are quiet. David started winning not when he threw the stone but when he started speaking. Psalm 32:3. I don’t care the defeat you are going through; I don’t care how down you are, just keep talking.
The three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said to King Nebuchadnezzar when he told them to bow before the image he created, ‘We are not careful to answer you in this matter, even if God doesn’t show up…’. Faith is never quiet, sometimes you sound arrogant. Daniel 3: 27 What made the fire have no power over them? They spoke ahead of time. You’ve been too quiet. You are waiting for things to happen when some people are making things happen.
One of the things I’m going to describe to you is called the spirit of faith. When I talk about the spirit of faith, I’m not talking about the Holy Spirit, I’m not talking about an evil spirit, I’m not talking about a human spirit, I’m talking about an attitude that faith has, a disposition, an ingredient that must be inside faith. God does not reward your coming to church, He rewards your confidence in Him. You must speak. ChurchGist. Faith is beyond believing, faith is believing plus speaking. Numbers 14: 21-23, God sees unbelief as evil, God sees unbelief as rejection and if you reject God, you reject His prophecies. One of the instructions in the New Testament is, despise not prophesyings, grieve not the Holy Ghost. So, in the New Testament, this still stands. In the Old Testament, you have faith in yourself, In the New Testament, you have faith in what Jesus did, but it’s the same attitude.
In Numbers 14: 24, you can see that even in the Old Testament, there was the spirit of faith. God will make you spy the land before He makes you go to the land. When God is blessing your neighbour, it is a proof that He is in your neighbourhood. 2 Corinthians 4: 13, the spirit of faith has an attitude, Caleb quieted the people and said let’s go and take over the land, we can do it. The attitude of faith is that whatever you believe, you must get it in your mouth. I believed and therefore I spoke, we also believe and therefore we speak.
How do we speak? 1 Corinthians 2: 9-14 We speak, everybody speaks. We speak not in the words which man’s wisdom teach; we compare spiritual things with spiritual. Romans 4: 17. There is a wisdom that the Holy Spirit teaches, that’s faith. ChurchGist. You can see people pray for five hours and there’s no iota of faith in it. God gives life to the dead by calling the things which be not as though they were. That’s how faith operates. If you have not started talking like that, you are not in faith. How come you don’t profit? You don’t mix the word with faith. How do you mix it with faith? You call the things that be not as though they were. You take the word that was being preached to you and you begin to apply it in your life. You don’t wait to see the wind; you make the wind come.
Romans 4: 17 (MSG) Abraham was first called “father” and then he became a father. To move from being an insect to an iron, that’s the only route, you call the things that be not as though they were. Proverbs 21: 28 Who is a false witness? Someone who is unsure. Joshua spoke to the moon and the sun to stand still. He knew the mind of God towards the matter, he had to address the issue directly not God. Joshua 10: 13-14. ChurchGist. When he spoke, God backed him up. God was waiting for a man to stop the moon. You can’t be quiet; you can watch your life go down the way your father’s life went down.
There are two things you should know:
1. You can’t serve two masters. The moment you serve one, you shut down the other. You can’t be obeying the devil and be commanding the devil, he will shut you down, so, you must serve the Lord.
2. Hebrews 13: 5-6 If you don’t forsake the Lord, you will have the boldness to ‘say’. It is boldness that heaven rewards. If you don’t have boldness, you will not see results. If you don’t say it, it will never happen.
