According to the Oxford dictionary, the word "worship" means to show reverence and adoration for a diety. While the Webster dictionary(1828) says Worship is to honor with extravagant love and extreme submission.
Now that we are aware of the English definition and surface understanding of the word "Worship", let's view things a bit deeper with more intense
meanings
-Worship is declaring the greatness of someone or something
-Worship is bowing down to lift up.
Right now our reverence is God, so it is safe to say Worship is bowing down in homage to honor God. It is all about God for who He is, in His holiness and never about our cares, concerns,situations, circumstances etc.
Worship can also be seen as an aspect of our being as God's image bearers which makes life a ceaseless worship. It means that worship can practically be seen in: singing of songs, corporate church meetings, morning devotions. It is not limited by these things or expressed only in these things because there's no end to worship rather we are continually giving ourselves out to God.
WORSHIP is a LIFESTYLE!
It is who you are! We worship with our entire being, our lives, our body, mind, soul and spirit. That is what makes up a typical man and that is what worship is really about
