"Many years ago, I went together with my wife, as a young couple, to preach in a youth revival conference organised by a church. By the Grace of God, after preaching an explosive message that obviously left everyone in deep meditation, thinking about God and His purpose for their life, I proceeded to my seat. Shortly after, one of the organizers of the conference went up to make an announcement to the people. He said something like, “Praise the Lord, we want to thank God for this powerful message. In the last meeting, we told you about the need to redeem your pledge. So, how many of you are ready with the money now?” Oh what a wrong timing for a right thing!
Quickly, I called him and asked him to stop what he was about to do. I told him that the message I preached is a message that people should go home and meditate on, and that he should not interrupt it with a fund raising announcement. Then I asked him to tell me the total sum of money he wanted to raise from the people. When he told me, my wife and I decided to pay the money on behalf of everyone to save the message from being polluted with money matters. Our monthly salary was Two Thousand, Four Hundred Naira (N2,400.00) at that time.
Beloved, God wants you to come to a point in life where you live to make a difference and not just make a living. This is because living to make a difference is superior to living to make a living, when people come in contact with you, let their lives be impacted positively.
Grace to make the difference in your world be released upon you in Jesus’ Name."
