THE ERROR OF WRONG FASCINATION
The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.” Haggai 2:9
Yesterday we saw that God is willing to be known by His current works today even more than He wants to be known by those of yesteryears.He wants to be (and He is) the God of the now.
This goes on to show us that God is willing to reveal Himself to a current generation, even more than He was willing in the previous generation.When the children of Israel (Bible times) were bothered that that Solomon's temple was more beautiful than what they had rebuilt, what was God’s response to them? "The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former". And that is still the mind of God now.
He wants you to know, that the glory of each latter generation shall be greater than the former. But unfortunately, many Christians don’t recognize this.Many want to be in the generation of "their fathers" because they feel that the move of God was more visible then. That’s a wrong mindset.
It’s beautiful to appreciate God‘s work in in time past, but doing so in View that nothing is happening now is so wrong. Open your eyes and see that God is moving now. He even wants you to be the one to do greater things than those you fascinate. Will you embrace this truth and move with Him? Revival is here. Revival will shine through you! Will you shine forth?
