LIVE OUT HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1
The righteousness of God is not just a gift given to us by God. There is actually a purpose for birthing us in His nature of righteousness. God intends that we live righteously, and truly, only a righteous man can live righteously.
Therefore before we did any righteous work, God gifted us with His righteousness, to the intent that by His righteousness in us, we will live righteously. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit (Romans 8:1).
Do you get the message here? Those who are in Christ Jesus are those who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Once we walked according to the flesh, but not any more! You have a responsibility to live out His righteousness, to walk according to the spirit. That’s how we should live. If truly you have been born into the spirit, then walk according to the spirit (Galatians 5:25).
Because we have His righteousness in us, only a righteous man can live righteously, and you in Christ are righteous. It is God working in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13), never forget. On account of this, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).
