WHATEVER EXAM THAT MAY COME YOUR WAY, YOU WILL PASS_ PST EA ADEBOYE DECLARES

IN THE NAME THAT IS  ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME, WHATEVER EXAM MAY COME YOUR WAY, YOU WILL PASS.

Pastor E. A. Adeboye at RCCG Special Sunday Service. 'Going Higher' (Part 19)

1 Kings 18:1

Go show yourself to Ahab tells us that the higher you go, the tougher your examinations become. The closer you get to God, the more difficult are his commands.

When God said to Elijah in 1 Kings 17:2-6, to go to Cherith to hide himself, it was a good command but now He is saying go and show yourself to the one who wants to kill you, that is a tougher assignment. That is the way of the Lord, when He is starting with you, the commands are not that difficult to obey but as you go higher, just like in examinations, the questions in primary school is not as difficult as the university because the higher you go, the tougher the exams become.

- Genesis 12:1- 3, God said to Abraham, get out from your family, nation, kindred unto a land I will show you, that was tough enough but it was still easy when you compare it to what happened in Genesis 22:1-2, when God said to Abraham your only son Isaac that I know you love, go and sacrifice him to me. You need to understand that at that stage Abraham was over hundred years old, the possibility of having another son looked a little bit slim but God said we are closer now so you need a tougher exam.

- Exodus 17:1-6, when the Children of Israel were thirsty and wanted water, God said to Moses, go and strike the rock and it will bring water for them to drink. That is a tough exam because Moses has never struck a rock to bring water. By the time he got to Numbers 20:1-11, God said speak to the rock you will notice that this was a tougher examination that is why Moses instead of speaking to the rock, he struck the rock. The higher you go, the tougher the exams become.

Examinations are always proportional to the ability of the students. No one will give a university question to someone in primary school.

1 Corinthians 10:13, God will not demand from you something He knows you cannot handle.

Job 1:1-22, the first exams Job faced was tough enough but God knew that Job will pass. In the Name that is above every other name, whatever exam may come your way, you will pass.

In Job 2:1-10, the devil recommended a tougher exam for Job, God knew he would pass  because even the wife of Job added to the pressure but Job refused to sin. Once again I pray, you will pass all your exams.

God said, 'I will send rain', to every examination, there is a reward, each time a student writes an exam, it is to go higher .

Genesis 12:1-3, God told Abraham if you obey me, I will bless you, and make your name great, He got a lot of reward for a simple exams. When he had to face a greater exam in Genesis 22:1-18, when he passed the exams, God said I swear, in blessings I will bless you. Whenever there is an exam, there is a reward ahead. In the case of Job when he passed that second test, the Bible tells us in Job 42:12-16, God blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. God gave him double of everything the enemy had taken from him and added a hundred and forty years extra to enjoy them.

Whenever there is a tough exam, there will be a big reward. Are you going through a tough exam right now? Get ready, your testimony will be big.

You need to know that when examinations cease, promotions cease. As long as you do exams, you will be promoted steadily. When there is no more exams, promotions will come to an end. It has been said that when you no longer have test, you will no longer have testimonies. A testimony is that you were at the test, you cried to God for help and you survived. Testimony is the result of test passed.

The bigger the test, the bigger the testimony.

I find it a bit interesting when somepeople hear a testimony and they say Amen, I hope they know the meaning of the prayer because it means that they are going to have another test but in the name of Christ they are going to pass.

Philippians 3:13-14, Paul said I keep forgetting what has happened in the past, I press on, getting ready for the next examination so that I can get the next promotion.

In this statement 'Go show yourself to Ahab and I will send rain', the biggest part of the story is that God is saying, you don't go to show yourself to Ahab, there will be no rain. That is frightening.

Isaiah 1:19-20 says if you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land, if you refuse and rebel, get ready for destruction. God was saying to Elijah, the fate of a nation is in your hands, you obey me, the problem of the Nation is over, you disobey me, the opposite of the situation will also be true. A single man can determine the fate of a nation, listen to me, Ezekiel 22:30-31, the Almighty God said, I look for a man who will stand before me, between me and a nation so that I don't pour the anger on the nation but I found none. He was looking for just one man.

1 Sameul 17:1-51, when Goliath was fighting a nation, he said he was looking for one man, if I beat him, you become our slave, he beats me, you take over my nation. It took only one man, maybe you are the one God has been waiting for to solve the problem of your nation.

2 Kings 7:1-11, a whole nation was under tremendous siege, it took one man to say I decree, within 24 hours the tide will turn and what he decreed cam to pass.

You can determine the fate of your nation or city, you alone can stand in the gap for your nation. The fate of your family is in your hands.

Genesis 6:1-22

At a time when there had never been rain, God said it is going to rain, do this and that and he obeyed and rescued his family from destruction when every other family perished.

Do you know that your action or inaction can determine what will happen to your family?

2 Kings 5:20-27, Gehazi decided to collect wealth by fraudulent means and when the punishment was given, the man of God said the leprosy on Namaan will be upon you and your seed forever. The action of one man, anybody in the generation of Gehazi must end up a leper. Generational curses starts with one man. Generational blessings also starts with a man, what do you want from your own family? Blessings that will stay forever? God said to Abraham I swear, I  will bless you and multiply your seed and through thy seed the whole world will be blessed. Today everyone is of the  seed of Abraham, if you are a child of God, you claim that blessing. If you are of the seed of Gehazi, you know what you can claim but if you give your life to Jesus Christ, you cross over from one family to another. You can give your life to Jesus Christ today and all of a sudden the blessings of Abraham will become yours.

Those of us who claim to be Christians now, be careful because the fate of your family is in your hands and one of us can stand up and stay in the gap for our city and our nation and God will honor that commitment.

I am calling on those of you who have not yet surrendered to Jesus Christ, the Word of God made it clear, if a man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are pass away and behold all things have become new, you can move away from the curse in your family by crossing over to the side of Jesus Christ so that everything can be afresh for you. Please don't delay because a curse is like a river flowing down a hill from whoever did something wrong. You can have a new beginning now if you give your life to Christ so I am appealing to you, if you have not yet given your life to Jesus Christ, come to Him now and cry unto Him for salvation the rest of us, let us intercede for them and pray that we will never leave the family of God.

I am going to encourage those of us who are Christians, if the Spirit of God has ministered to you that you are the one God is waiting on to stand up not just for your family but for your city and nation that from now on you take the burden and begin to cry to God to spare your city and nation.

God bless you all!
