WORDS AND LIFE
For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. 1 Peter 3:10
The potency of the words that we released into the atmosphere is real. We learned that the world (course of the ages, the happenstances) were framed by the word of God (Hebrews 11:3). That reveals that words actually do make things happen. Now, the Extent to which your words can affect the world is to the extent of authority you have harnessed by obedience to God’s word.
However it’s important to note, that there is an aspect of the world that you will always have authority over and that is your own life. So even though A man’s words may not be potent enough to affect a lot outside of him, may be due to disobedience to God‘s word, his words will always be potent enough to affect him personally.
This means that you are the custodian of the direction of your life and your words as you speak then are a steering for your life. He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit . This scripture shows That your words produced by your tongue (i.e. you’re spoken words) can either sustain life, or reduce it.
Life and death are in the power of That Tongue (Proverbs 18:21). So actually how you talk determines how you live, and your words can make or mar you. So speak life and not death. Speak truth and not lies, speak joy not sadness. Speak blessings and not curses. Speak good and not evil. Speak honestly I’m not in deceit. Speak only as the Spirit leads you. Do not reduce your life. Sustain it. You’re blessed . TCF.
