MESSAGE IN CONDUCT
1 Peter 3:1
Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,
Apostle Peter encouraged the married women to be submissive to their husbands to the intent that even those men who do not obey the word, may be saved (won over) not by words of discussion, but by the godly conduct of the wives.
This is proof that even without you speaking a word, or preaching a verbal message to a person, your conduct or way of life is a message strong enough to even save a soul. Some people may never listen to you if you come to them to verbally preach to them. Some will never give you attention or be moved by your words.
But your conduct, your lifestyle is an even stronger message being passed to the souls around you. You may not know what effects you are having on whom, but you must be diligent. Because you are the revelation of Christ to your world. You are Christ’s epistle and people will only read him through you as you reveal him to them.
So be sure to live as led by the spirit and in obedience to the word. Remember, just as your lifestyle can save a soul, it can also cause a soul to stumble or perish. Therefore be wise. At least for the sake of your brother and sister, live your life unto God, that’s they may receive Christ and be won over by Him revealed. You’re blessed. TCF
