LIGHT - THE VICTORY

John 1:5

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it

Light is simply the illumination brought about by the Life of Christ, the Word of God. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. He is the Word of God, so the Life in Him, if the Life of the Word. That Life is the light. To shine the Light is simply to live the Life of Christ. Our eternal life.

To practice the Word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit in us. Darkness refers to a place or Domain where the Life of God is not prevalent. Anywhere full of worldliness, where the Life of Christ is not being practiced. But even in such places, that are so carnal, so corrupt, so demonic, so worldly, if you'd live the Life of the Word, you'd overcome.

Why? The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. The Word translated 'comprehend' means to overpower, or overcome. So if the Light will shine even in the darkness, the darkness cannot overpower the Light. The shining of the Light is the living of the Life of Christ. The Word Life.

Practice the Word by the Spirit. That's where the victory is. That's why Satan does not want us living for Christ. Because when we do, he stands no chance! Go ahead, practice the word. Live the Life of the Word. Shine the light, even if there is a darkness everywhere around you, you will come out victorious. The Light is the victory. You're blessed. TCF
