SIGNS TO BELIEVE?
Isaiah 38:7
And this is the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing which He has spoken:
God usually gave Hezekiah signs, after every word from God to him. These signs would prove to him that the word of God to him are true. But why would God give His Word and still give a sign to accompany it? This is because the men of the old covenant needed signs to help them believe God, simply because they weren't born again.
They were of the old covenant, and didn't have the Spirit of faith abiding in them. Thus without signs to them, believing would be difficult. But we who are born again in Christ Jesus do not need signs to believe! We have the Spirit of God in us, confirming the Word of God to us, in us.
Thus by the Spirit in us, we simply have faith to believe God's Word, and His Word is sure and true. We have the same Spirit of faith. We believe, therefore we speak! (2 Corinthians 4:13) People who still need signs before they believe God's Word are working by sight. They are babes!
But blessed are those who believe without first seeing. (John 20:29). Refuse to be a babe. Even when there are no signs yet, take God by His Word and be steadfast. That's where the blessing is! We don't need signs to believe! But we see results, having already believed! Glory to God! Remain on the Word and in prayers. You're blessed.-TCF
