THE WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT
Proverbs 16:25
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
The world being blind to the truth of God's Word, walks on in darkness. What the world calls success most times are simply things that may seem good, well meaning, and appreciable. Many people look at our theme verse and think, "well the way that seems right is the way of acquiring wealth illegally, or going into dubious things to be successful.
But no, not at all. That's not what the scripture means. In fact, ask yourself if those things even seem right to you? What this scripture means is very simple. There are many well meaning activities in the world that seem right to be done. In fact, they are good to be done. E.g feeding the poor, sponsoring education of people, helping the less privileged, medical outreaches, going into legitimate businesses etc.
These things are actually good and seem very right. So how then can these things end in the ways of death? Jesus said "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life..." This simply means anything and everything outside Christ, no matter how good or bad it seems, ends in death, so long as it's outside Christ.
Many people want to help humanity, through many good activities, but they don't know or care about Christ Jesus. They are fulfilling the scripture in proverbs 16:25. Their beautifull actions will end in the way of death. Simply because they are not in The Way, The Truth and The Life. This is hard to swallow, but it is what it is. They are unsuccessful from God's view point.
