THE VOICE OF GOD
Genesis 3:8
And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
In the verse above, the scripture records that Adam and His wife Eve, heard the voice of God walking. They heard the voice of God wallk. This seems to be a strange sentence construction, Especially to the natural mind. How could a voice walk? But God carefully ordained that this sentence be structured this way to bring us to a revelation.
We'd love you to do this little exercise with us. Think about a favourite word which you love to use in your conversations. Just think about the word in your mind. Don't say it. Hold it in your mind for two seconds. Okay now speak that word in your mind out to somebody or to something.
Now realise that your voice was heard clearly. What your voice did was to reveal your word to that person or that thing. You had your word all the while in you. But they weren't revealed. Yet you knew you had them even though you hadn't revealed those words. As soon as your voice showed up, as soon as you spoke out, your voice revealed that word that you had thought about.
So your word was prepared all the while, inside you, you knew them, but your voice revealed your word to your environment or the people in it. The voice of a man reveals the words of a man. So also the Voice of God reveals the Word of God. Hold on this and remain in the Word of God and in prayers. We'll continue tomorrow. You're blessed. -TCF
