THE TONGUE LIKE A STEERING
James 3:2
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. KJV
The Holy Spirit reveals through the writings of Apostle James, that if you can keep your words consistent with truth (God's Word) then you can control your whole body, and by extension, your life. This means that you can steer your life in or out of the right course.
In the coming verses (read vss 2-5) the Apostle compares the tongue to the bits in a horse's mouth, and to the small rudder of ships. These two little things weld great power because they determine the direction of the horse or the ship. Even so is the tongue. The tongue is like a steering for the body! And in whatever manner or direction you speak, is the direction the course of your life will take.
Until you believe and confess you are righteous, you're not ready to live righteously. Until you believe and confess that you are healthy, you're not ready to live a healthy life. Until you believe and confess that you are always a victor, you're not ready to live victoriously.
Why would you believe and continually confess these things? Because they are who the Word says you are! They are independent of your feelings and circumstances. We have the same Spirit of faith, We believe therefore we speak! (2corinthians 4:13). Start using your tongue today to steer your life to gloryyyyy!!! Hallelujah!! Remain on the Word and in prayers.
