SIGNIFICANCE OF GRACE
Romans 12:6
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Many times we want to operate in more gifts. We want to manifest more power. We want to walk in more of the miraculous, we want to handle more finances. You know, we just want to handle more responsibility and do more for God. Many times, we pray and pray, "Lord give me more", "I want more", and it's as though He doesn't respond.
Some go ahead to ask for a double or triple anointing. Maybe hoping that if they had more anointing, then they'd do more. Well funny enough, the scriptures never talked about any more anointing, whether double or triple. The anointing is simply the anointing-the Holy Spirit in you. And the truth is, you don't need more anointing to do more for God.
What do you need then? You simply need more grace. The enablement of God to increase your capacity to successfully handle more gifts and responsibility without breaking down. The difference between the results men see in their ministry and lives is simply in how much grace they carry. God will never give you more than you can handle. He gives gifts according to the grace you have received.
Remember in Matthew 25:12, he gave them talents according to their abilities. He gives according to what you can handle, lest it consumes you. So if you want to do more, you need more grace. Yes, you can get more grace. And there are primarily two ways to grow in grace or to receive more grace. One is humility, and the other is the knowledge of God .
