DON'T DECEIVE YOURSELF 3
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Kjv.
So you see that speaking about yourself anyhow, maybe based on your feeling or circumstances is you deceiving your own heart, so long as those feelings and circumstances don't conform with God's Word. Understand this; even though it is true that those things you feel or see maybe happening, they are not the 'truth' about you.
If you truly believe that who the Word of God says you are is who you are, then you'd never confess otherwise, no matter how you feel or the circumstances your are in. What then should you do? You are defined by the Word. So even when you feel down or sick, or you are in the wrong circumstances, you must use your tongue, to speak God's Word about you into your life.
When you do this consistently, you will steer your feelings and circumstances to suit your definition as described by God's Word. Who you are is who God has said you are. Your circumstances and course of life should be steered to conform to who you are (by God's Word). Never allow who you are to be defined by, or to conform to your circumstances and feelings.
Bridle your tongue today. Let your speech about you always be consistent with God's Word about you. Never deceive yourself.
Say this with me: " I'll never deceive myself by carelessly talking about my life based on my feelings or circumstances. No matter how I feel or what I see,I will maintain my confessions in line with God's Word about me, and the course of my life and feelings will follow suit." Hallelujah!!! Glory to God!!
Remain on the Word and in prayers. You're blessed. -TCF
