WHY WE FIGHT
1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Having established the fact that the sword of the Spirit is an offensive weapon, for tearing down any form of darkness outside and around us, it's important to understand why we fight. Some Christians think that they are fighting to overcome the devil. So they make him their priority. This is so wrong, because when you fight like this, you harbour a fear that you may loose to him, and that's too bad.
It's important to understand that we are not fighting to overcome the devil. Yes we are at war, but our target is not to overcome the devil. Why? Because we have overcome him already!! Did you see our opening verse? You have overcome them (the antichrist spirits) because Christ in you is greater than any devil in the world! So we are not fighting to obtain the victory over Satan. Rather, we are fighting to spread the victory we have already obtained in Christ.
In Christ, we already have total victory over the world. Now we fight to spread that victory we have. To bring other people into the same victory we have. You see that our target are the souls! Not the devil! When you fight like this, you realise you can't lose any battle to the devil. You can only spread the dominion and victory you have, and that's why you war!! We will continue tomorrow, but change your mindset for battling today.
Say this with me: "I am not fighting to overcome the devils. I have overcome them already! I already have the victory! I fight to spread the victory I have to other souls. And I cannot lose! Thank you Jesus" Glory to God! You're blessed. -TCF
